How do you remove bee poo (bee pollen)from windows?

Bee poo can be very difficult to remove if left on the window glass for a long period of time. You might of seen it on your glass as little yellow specks. For those unfortunate enough to be on the flight path of bees, your home could be a constant target. As a window cleaner, bee poo creates extra effort and time to remove from your glass, depending on how fresh it is. So here is what works :-

  1. Mix eucalyptus oil with water. Brush glass with a good window brush with the mixture. Leave for a few minutes. Brush wash with clean water to rinse. Brush wash glass with purified water for a streak free finish.

  2. You might find a bee poo footprint remains, typically from bee poo which has been on the glass for a long time. Take a cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Dip cloth in the alcohol and wipe the stained glass. This will remove the bee poo footprint. Brush wash with purified water for a streak free finish.

DO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING AS IT CAN SCRATCH THE GLASS OR DAMAGE THE WINDOW:-

  1. A metal scraper

  2. Abrasive pads

  3. Wire wool

  4. Water blaster (can damage window seal)
